Musical Training whilst Training to Kyiv
As a citizen of Warsaw, I really regret not hearing this live - but I hadn't heard about these events earlier 🙂 It's great to hear this music being performed live - it deserves it 🙂 I always loved H1/H2 and H4 music (and I lost countless hours playing the latter). I enjoyed H3 music less though. Being a musician myself, I never liked how it was mixed/mastered - it seemed blurry (actually, similarly to H3 graphics!) and too mid-ranged (?) to me, even if I admired the compositions. I wonder if it was an artistic decision or it was a matter of compression? On the other hand, I've seen people on the internet complaining that H4 music was too clear and distractive as compared to H3, so maybe it all depends on who played which part of the series longer 🙂 Anyway, I wish to see a restart of HoMM series some day, with 2D graphics again and equally fantastic music, but with all the technical advancements unavailable decades ago. For now, I went back to H3 with my lvl 8 son 🙂
Girl will definitely cope with it Actually I tried to play barbarian on electroguitar out of interest No chance 😅 Only for fortepiano
I remember my mom used to play this cd story for us when we were kids. Could you post the whole thing?
This guy is one handsome devil (no homosex)
To much hair. Now is better. More harmonious.
So great
Which music is this?
Some people never age. If you wouldn't have become the legendary musician we know and appreciate, you would surely have made it to Godfather movies if you auditioned. Thank you for sharing. Wish you health!
His smile and optimism: retained
You are beautiful at any age! Thank you for everything you do and will continue to do! ❤❤❤
Man, Paul sure is intense, even in this little segment. Thank you!
Thank you for supporting the community even after all these years, Paul. You're the man!
Thats great!
Heroes 5 Haven?
Большое спасибо за музыку! Я если так можно сказать все детство провел слушая как родители играют в героев... Твоя музыка на всегда в сердце как и у большинства моих друзей. С любовью из России!
This is so lovely, thank you to both of you for great performance
Wauw!! That was amazing!! How great to see an entrie Hungarian orchestra perform your fantastic music along with a waltz to the Tower Theme. That fit in very nicely and the really nailed the background and costumes!!
This is not the new Fazioli, is it? The bass notes dampers sound a bit uneven to me.
@@w0pke No. This is my old Steinway B that I bought 25 years ago
Beautiful music and singing! Love how passionate and flawless fingers fly over piano keyboard - it's truly gorgeous to watch and to listen! Thank you for your wonderful performances, for your music (listen to it quite often over 20 years by now) and for this channel! With love and deep appreciation from Russia! (It's very sad, what my country do to the world right now... Let there be only peace and wonderful music!)
So beautiful voice and music. Thank for this video
Glory to Ukraine!
Very well done performance.
Devil v Priest HoMM5 title screen scene looks cool 😅
You are very welcome in Poland. Do you plan to visit Poland in the future?

It would be lovely to be in a great Heroes games concert next year in Budapest for all of the hungarian and other european fans! Remember next year that year will be the 30th anniversary of Heroes 1!
That's not Siberia (just Saint-Petersburg), but hello anyways.
I love the fact you worked on all of the HOMM games soundtracks, I grew up with HOMM 5 and still today I love the faction themes (Haven is the best). Thank you for your work
This is beautiful, like so much of your work. Probably a long shot, but do you teach composition at all?
Thank you very much. I do not officially Teige composition. But when my friends around the world who are younger composers need help, I definitely love to Answr and troubleshoot any issues they are having with the art of music composition
He seems to be great guy and all, but the company behind (maybe?) is really annoying with licensing on the Heroes 3 tracks. I mean, why would gamers face RUclips copyright claims when they just upload gameplay videos with H3 combat tracks inside? It's effing gameplay videos, for Christ's sake. They are called like that because we just record whatever gameplay we had and upload. If we do not play other copyrighted music tracks (like from Celine Dion for example) during the gameplay, do not bother us. What a wicked world.
I concur. I've tried to keep all these tracks available as long as I could to everyone. My job as a composer is to share music as much as I can, rather than stop the flow of music
Whats the occasion?
It's a celebration of life love and liberty
Your music is probably on the top 5 of all videogames i have ever play
I see might but no magic
My most favourite MM IX soundtracks ❤ Thank you Mr. Romero for sharing ❤
Translation: Welcome to this new episode of "Composer". Today I am going to talk about a video game composer - Paul Romero. Paul Romero was born in 1965 in the United States. He started playing the piano as a child, playing Mozart among other things. He rapidly became a prodigy, playing concertos with great orchestras - and he composed his first concerto at the age of 13 years old. As a teenager, he studied music more deeply so as to make it his profession. Paul Romero has composed tens of film and video game OSTs - the most famous of them being that of the "Heroes of Might and Magic" saga. The turn-based tactical RPG has many opus, and Paul Romero worked with Rob King from America on each of them - from the first one in 1995, until Heroes of Might and Magic VII, released recently. On a side note, I have released an episode of my show "Released", dedicated to its soundtrack. The soundtrack from the "Heroes" saga is simply awesome. The third opus, "Heroes of Might and Magic III" was praised by the fans and has some of the best music in the saga. In the games, the player must choose a faction. Some of them are present in all the games, while others are only available in a single game. All of them have their own musical theme. Let's take HoMM III as an example - a game that deeply moved me, because of the scenario, the gameplay, and mostly because of the music. It has a faction called "Haven" - a medieval town, whose theme is symphonic and full of hope. The music illustrates the light emanating from the faction. On the other hand the "Hell" theme is grave, and one really feels evil emanating from it. These tracks have a real capacity to immerse the listener into the world - I have images of the game in my mind as I listen to the soundtrack. The "Necropolis" theme is grave, with lively string instruments, and a bell sound that is reminiscent a graveyard where the dead are being called back to life. The harpsichord also gives a medieval feel, and one can really picture the black castle being inhabited by one of the faction's most powerful creatures - the vampire. The "Dungeon" theme illustrates an underground society; one hears a mysterious, crescendo melody, that climaxes to epic levels - hinting at the faction's most powerful creature, the dragon, black or red. The "Rampart" faction is a very "tolkienesque" with elves, dwarves, and buildings similar to those of the novels. "Fortress" groups marsh creatures, with many mythological figures among them - hydras, gorgons, the soundtrack is again quite mysterious. The "Bastion" faction is a barbarious society, with goblins, ogres, orcs and behemoths - the soundtrack is very melodic, reminiscent of the sun that covers this desert people. "Conflux" groups elemental creatures, and the music is crystalline. The "Tower" is composed of magicians and magical creatures, with an emotion-charged symphonic theme. All these faction themes are very beautiful, but the game also includes combat music of course - siege of enemy fortresses, confrontations between heroes and between wild creatures, many epic tracks follow the player in their fights. Additional themes include the menu soundtrack, cut-scenes, or simply ambient music that plays while the player is travelling the world. I am only speaking of HoMM III, but these characteristics apply to every opus, the gameplay being similar across all of them. The sixth opus was also very good in terms of scenario and music, with many combat themes and various bosses. I recommend that you play these games and enjoy their music, Paul Romero is an authenic genius! In 2008 he composed a first symphony, "Heroes", based on themes from Heroes of Might and Magic. Thanks for watching this episode and see you on the channel!
When will you have another concert, but this time in France?
lol
Quelle est la source ? 🙂
I like that question. Because Quelle in German means source as well.
Actually I don't know. Somebody posted this video like seven years ago called "learn rock". So it might be AI created
@@PAULanthonyROMERO found it. I don't think it's AI created, I'm french so I understand everything. Thanks for sharing his work 🙂
@@plumedesinge That would be my dream to be able to understand French. If I ever get reincarnated, I will try to come back as a Frenchman😀
@@PAULanthonyROMERO I will trade French lessons for piano lessons 😁
Et en français en plus !
Randomly recommended this by YT four years later and yeah, accurate! The 25th anniversary concert was fantastic!
